About Us

Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855) is the Princeps mathematicorum (i.e., the Prince of Mathematicians) and is referred to as the 'greatest mathematician since antiquity'. In fact, many believe that Gauss is an alien due to his remarkable influence in many fields of mathematics and the sciences. His contributions were in various fields including: number theory, statistics, analysis, differential geometry, geodesy, geophysics, electrostatics, astronomy and optics.

This website was motivated in part by Matt J Heath's post and later Ian's post that listed a bunch of Guass facts, similar in nature to the popular Chuck Norris Facts.
